On that Tesla-semi crash article. Well, that was a mistake. It’s like any of the civility that is here in the kinja comments, is totally gone. FP comments are often not the best, but they aren’t usually at YouTube comments levels of garbage. So yeah, moral of the story, Facebook comments are trash, but I’m sure most of you know that already.

You'd think, but it seems like Facebook commenters general culture of hatred has outweighed the lack of anonymity

There is only civility when there are consequences. Not exactly something often seen on Facebook, the chans or Reddit.

As someone who has dealt first hand with commenters from various different websites, Jalopnik is pretty damn good.
Of course there are a few out there who spoil the fun for everyone else but all in all the Jalopnik/OppositeLock community is probably the best out there.
Comment sections on YouTube and Facebook are typically pretty rough and should be avoided at all costs.

I was always impressed with Jalopnik commenters until I discovered Oppo, and now I’m spoiled. When the FP is disappointing me, it’s good to remember that yeah, youtube and facebook are the worst

Either way you are spoiled, and as much crap as I talk about Kinja, their comment section is exponentially better than other websites. *cough* Bring a Trailer *cough*
